Motherwort is used for heart complaints such as palpitations, arrhythmias of a nervous origin, tachycardia, cardiac debility and is BHP specific for cardiac problems associated with neurosis.

Motherwort is also used in the reproductive tract for dysmenorrhoea, amenorrhoea, fibroids and nervous problems associated with menopause.

It can be brewed in hot water to make a herbal Motherwort tea.
