Sage

Sage is a very aromatic herb used to flavour many fatty meats such as pork, sausages and pate, as well as other roast meats, poultry, stuffing, stews and soups. It is a popular herb in Mediterranean and Italian cooking where sage grows profusely. Sage adds flavour to butter sauces, cheese dishes, omelletes and vegetables

Sage can be used as a gargle for mouth ulcers, gingivitis, tonsillitis and laryngitis.

A sage tea can be taken for indigestion, excessive perspiration, menopausal sweats and to reduce milk flow in breast feeding mums.
